TotalDrop

Send any file to anyone, anywhere.

TotalDrop moves files straight from your device to theirs, across the internet, encrypted end to end. Free and open source. No email, no phone number, no account required.

Coming to Linux, Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and the web.

Your transfer code

7-harbor-rocket

A file travelling from Istanbul to Buenos Aires Istanbul Buenos Aires
Read the code out loud or paste it in a message. Whoever types it in gets the file, wherever they are.

Three steps, any distance

  1. Pick a file

Any size, any type. A photo, a folder, a 40 GB video.

  2. Share the code or a link

A short code for someone you're talking to, a link for someone you're not.

  3. They receive it

In the app, or in any browser if they don't have it. Interrupted transfers pick up where they stopped.

On the same Wi-Fi? TotalDrop notices and sends over your local network at full speed.

Only you and the person you send to can open it

Locked on your device
Files are encrypted before they leave, and unlocked only on the receiving device.
Our servers see scrambled bytes
When devices can't connect directly, a relay passes data along without being able to read it.
No tracking, no logs
No analytics, no ads, and no record of who sent what to whom. This site doesn't set cookies or load anything from other companies.
Code anyone can check
Every line is public, and version 1.0 ships only after an independent security audit.

Free for everyone, paid for by people who can

No ads, no premium tier. Servers and code signing are paid for by donations, and every month we publish what came in and what went out.
